The Easter Parade in downtown Ystad. All of the little kids are dressed up like witches.

According to the Swedish tradition the witches flew to "Blåkulla" on Maundy Thursday to meet up with the devil. Going there they used a broom, a stick or something else to fly on. Another common tradition, I don't know if you saw it around Ystad, is to light big fires, "påskeldar", to chase away the withces.

This doesn't explain why children dress up like witches. Maybe it's just an older version of halloween.. ;)
